Calendar of FC Barcelona

According to the Minor's Prosecutor's Office File, LaLiga ratified this Tuesday the sanction against the minor fan who launched racist insults against Lamine Yamal in the Real Madrid-FC Barcelona match corresponding to matchday 11 of LaLiga EA Sports 2024/25.

From this date, the involved party will not be able to attend any football stadium where official competitions are held for 1 year. In addition, he will have to complete 30 hours of socio-educational tasks.

LaLiga's message for the insults to Lamine Yamal at the Santiago Bernabéu

Through a statement, the organization stated that "with this action, LaLiga reiterates its firm commitment to the fight against racism and any manifestation of hatred in football".

The sanction, however, has taken quite a while to be confirmed due to legal and bureaucratic issues. In total, 227 days ed since the match held at the Santiago Bernabéu.

It was on Saturday, October 26, 2024, when Lamine scored his first official goal in Clásicos (they had already stolen one from him in April of last year), a goal that meant the partial 0-3 for a Barça that ended up winning that match by 0-4.

LaLiga will sanction two other Madrid fans for insults against Lamine and Raphinha

In addition, the organization must still confirm the punishment that the two adults who accompanied the minor in the stands of the Bernabéu will suffer. In this case, the punishment will be harsher as they are adult fans.

Among the insults collected by the report sent to the Prosecutor's Office by the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) are 'Son of a bitch, you are a son of a bitch', 'Shitty kid, you are all shitty kids', or "fucking black", insults that were also directed towards Raphinha.

The Brazilian scored a double in the thrashing, so he did not escape the fury of the Madrid fans. Finally, those responsible were identified and will receive the appropriate punishment. A position that ratifies LaLiga's intention to eradicate racism from the playing fields in all categories, professional and amateur.

According to the new article 15 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code, referring to punishments for racism in official matches, fines for fans, physical trainers, coaches and fans range from 21,432 euros (first case) and sanctions starting from 10 matches.

However, in cases of recidivism or extreme seriousness, the match can be suspended temporarily or permanently, with financial fines, loss of points, stadium closures and even expulsions from competitions and/or istrative relegations.
